We officially welcomed six new faces to the team: Samuel Flanagan, Ryan Powell, Lucas Dibble, Tyler Hood, Kaitlyn Hunt, and Logan Thorne Moore. They’ve joined us as our newest electricians and multi-trade apprentices, quickly diving into hands-on work while continuing their studies at Bridgend College.
Their training program is designed to help them develop practical skills, gain technical knowledge, and apply everything they learn in real-world situations. To give them an experience beyond the usual induction process, we decided to think a little differently. After a week of intense learning, we took them out for a day of Gorge walking – cliff jumps and all! You can check out their adventure in the video below.
Kaitlyn shared her excitement about the variety in her first week, saying: “I was in the office for three days, that was fun, but then I was on site yesterday and here today, which I’m very happy about!“
Logan also reflected on his first week, adding: “Everyone in the workplace is amazing. I did not expect to be jumping off cliffs by the end of the week!”
This team-building day was about more than just having fun. We wanted to bring our core values to life – valuing people, thinking differently, and having the courage to see things through. The Gorge walking experience was designed to strengthen bonds early on, and it’s a great way to demonstrate the importance of trust and teamwork. Whether it’s jumping off cliffs or collaborating on projects, our colleagues need to rely on each other and overcome challenges together. This induction activity laid the foundation for the strong teamwork we believe is essential for success.
Stay tuned for more updates on our apprentices as they continue their journey!
