A jam-packed January and February for Llanw!

2025 is off to a busy start for our dedicated teams. Here’s a glimpse of what we’ve been up to so far this year:

Career opportunities talk

In January, we delivered a ‘Career Opportunities’ talk at Brynteg Comprehensive School in Bridgend.

We spoke to around 50–100 pupils about the diverse and rewarding career paths in social housing. We shared our personal journeys (our Business Support Manager has a performing arts background!) to highlight how every job helps us to build transferable skills and gain valuable experience.

The pupils were curious and engaged, asking thoughtful questions about their career prospects. We’re excited to organise tailored sessions with smaller groups in the future to better support their interests and hopefully attract new talent to Llanw.

Promoting our apprenticeships

In February, we visited Bridgend College to speak to students about our upcoming apprenticeship opportunities. This month, we’ll be advertising six new apprenticeship roles on our website and we’re looking forward to having more talented apprentices on board!

Repairs Roadshow

February was also the month we launched our Repairs Roadshow! Teams from across Llanw and Valleys to Coast attended the event at Maesteg Townhall to chat to customers about all things repairs, new developments and home safety.

We answered customers’ burning questions, helped seven people report repairs and updated three people on their outstanding repairs.

One grateful customer said “they made sense about my repairs over there today, fair play to them.”
