Celebrating Six Months of Growth and Excellent Customer Service at Llanw

Can you believe it? Llanw has already been up and running for six months! To celebrate and reflect on our journey so far, we held a six-month celebration on Friday, and it included updates, highlights, and some of our achievements so far.

Here’s a quick recap of what we covered on the day

Growth and Ambitions

Jo Oak, our Group Chief Executive, kicked things off by sharing our plans for the future. With a focus on expanding our financial capacity, developing our people, and strengthening our service offerings, we’re committed to making our communities safer and happier while increasing customer and colleague satisfaction.

Repair Stats and Savings

Paul Price, Managing Director, shared some impressive numbers with the team:

  • Over 10,882 repairs were completed in the six months!
  • 54 empty homes fully refurbished, with an average turnaround of 24.6 days.
  • We’ve made £312,000 in savings – a great start.

Investing in our People

Our team continues to grow! We’re now 100 strong, including 20 new trades colleagues, six local apprentices, and more to come. We’re also building our commercial capability with a new Trainee Surveyor role.

Customer Service Improvements

Mike Gubb, Learning, Development & Performance Manager, led a session on customer service, helping us reflect on what makes a great experience. We also heard from Sian Macnamara, Business Support Manager, about how we’re recording and analysing customer feedback after each repair. Out of 1,098 responses, we’re thrilled to see 90% positive feedback, with an average score of 8.75 out of 10!

Operational Achievements

Shaun McGregor, Operations Manager, gave an update on our recent achievements, including flexible appointment slots, a new repair system, and a materials working group. We’re also exploring new material suppliers for 2025 and beyond and sharing best practices with others in the sector.

Recognising Our Mentors and Coaches

We wrapped up with a team-building exercise led by Mike and celebrated the hard work of our mentors and coaches, who received certificates in recognition of their support.

Finally, we highlighted our ongoing efforts to raise Llanw’s profile in the housing sector, including sponsorship at this year’s Chartered Institute of Housing awards.

Thank you to everyone who’s helped us reach this six-month milestone.
